The Art of Nonsense

Recently had a great weekend  of learning and fun with internationally recognised Art of Nonsense practitioner  Alex  Sternick.

Alex had travelled from Israel  to run this this course in Manchester. This is only the second time he has run a course in the UK so very privileged to have a place on the course.

The course covered  laughter including self – humour, the relationship of laughter and gibberish. We explored all elements of gibberish , playing with nonsense and  improvisation.  Playing with nonsense encourages innovation, creativity  and finding a solution out of the box . It was very liberating.

Personally one of the most enlightening and inspiring parts of the course was learning about the therapeutic value of gibberish – really awesome. We tried it and it really works.

I have used gibberish for quite a few years very good when stuck in traffic….

An added bonus  to the weekend was the Christmas markets in Manchester which were really festive in the evening despite the windy wet weather

Looking forward to running Gibberish and Art of Nonsense workshops/ classes in 2016.
